The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) of the Reserve System meets tight times a year (about every six weeks) to assess the state of the economy and to decide what actions the central bank should take regarding the conduct of open market operations and interest rates. The minutes of these meetings are released three weeks after each meeting; however, a brief press release is made available immediately after the meeting. Find the schedule of minutes and press releases for all of 2014 at

http://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/fomccalendars.htm

A. summarize each minutes in a different page stating with the statement and including the dissensions.

B. Many counti'ies have central banks that are responsible for their nation's monetary policy. Go to
http://www.bis.orB/cbanks.htm and select three central banks of importance. Review that bank's
website to determine its 2014 policies regarding the application of monetary policy. How do the central
bank's policies compare to those of the U.S. Federal Reserve (FOMC) over this same period?
